Soft power as a strategy for sustainable growth
The soft power plays an important role in the context of the creative economy. The Thai government, under Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, has decided on a holistic policy that aims to promote creativity and treasures of knowledge of the population and to create jobs. The soft power is developed in eleven different areas such as food, sports and art. This strategy should not only preserve local culture, but also invite and combine internationally.
The Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI) has recently published excellent forecasts: If companies fully exploit the potential of the creative economy, economic growth could be more than doubled by 2030. The Creative Economy Agency (CEA) offers a valuable platform here to network small companies with large companies and to promote fertile exchange of ideas and innovations.
Practical steps and future developments
As part of the initiative, the CEA is planning two exciting projects for the financial year 2023: the ** Content Lab **, which is supposed to tackle the lack of Thai producers and screenwriters. In addition, the ** Metaverse Ecosystem Lab ** is launched to strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and industries. This LAB aims to develop a domestic meta-severse ecosystem and to train talents for the digital future.
Chakrit from the CEA emphasized that promoting the Thai identity plays a central role at a global level. The connection between culture and economy is becoming increasingly visible. This also includes the support of gaming, animation and e-sports industries that offer special potential for innovations and market opportunities.
The upcoming events and strategies make a committed endeavor to make a prosperous future for Thailand through creative approaches. A clear cooperation between the sectors, be it in business or culture, will be essential to achieve the ambitious goals. In this dynamic landscape of the creative economy, which is very important, it is clear: there is something for everyone involved!
For interested managers and decision -makers, there is the possibility to register for the Creativex 2025 - a step into the future that will be worthwhile.
