The authors plan to continue their simulations of subcellular calcium waves in excitable cells using the recently developed PSpice modeling system. Since the EF mechanism may be a fundamental process that occurs at the subcellular level, it may be also useful to study the effect of pharmacological agents on the initiation of subcellular calcium waves, and the effect of deep brain stimulation on subcellular calcium wave propagation in excitable cells (e.g., neurons). Finally, the use of the EF mechanism may help to explain the basic mechanisms of depolarization-induced slowing of conduction in cardiac muscle as well as the effects of diseases such as heart block, and electromechanical dissociation (depolarization without mechanical activity of heart muscle). We are currently writing a book chapter and report on the EF mechanism of calcium waves in a neuronal context. Here, we summarize the laboratory results and report the findings in the text.
In the present paper, we describe a subcellular calcium wave induced by local depolarization of excitable cells, including cardiac cells and smooth muscle, using the recently developed PSpice modeling system.
Matlab is widely used for simulation and analysis of power electronic circuits. However, it cannot guarantee that the simulation result is consistent with the circuit performance. The measurement error often leads to an error at the evaluation, which is very dangerous for a power converter. In this paper, we proposed a new method, a real-time circuit measurement error compensation, and realize this method with PSpice, so as to improve the evaluation accuracy of the circuit and avoid the danger.
