How to calculate plane stress using position parameters

I’m trying to take a load analysis with a given y stress. I’m given two points that are known, but the distance between these is not known. I’m trying to solve this problem using FE. One approach I have taken is to assume the distance is the same as a rigid body. In the following, I am trying to simplify the model to a least square approximation:

Using the equation to calculate the force applied to the X component of the stress:
$$F_{X}=\frac{q_x}{2}r^2$$
This yields:
$$F_{X}=\left(\frac{16k_f}{\pi}(l-x_0)\right)^2$$
where $k_f$ is the shear modulus and $l$ is the length of the beam.
Using the equation to calculate the stress:
$$\sigma_{x}=\frac{q_x}{A}$$
and solving for $A$:
$$A=\frac{y_{max}^2}{4}$$
where $y_{max}$ is the y-stress.

The problem with the first approach is that I can’t calculate the force applied to the X component of the stress given that I don’t know the distance between the points. I can’t calculate the stress either.
