finally, machine worlds have a single building slot for the capital building, and no additional building slots. the capital building can be built in any district on the planet, but it must be in a region next to an active machine.
each new district or colony has a production value, which is calculated using the colony’s population and the built buildings. some buildings, such as the military garrison, will increase the production value of the colony, but other buildings have no effect on production. the production value is also a multiplier on the production of economic buildings, so building economic buildings in a colony that already has many of them will increase the production values of the existing economic buildings.
plants are not the only thing you can build in plantfactory: all structures can be built by linking nodes of the same type (obelisk, apartment, factory, etc.), or by linking nodes of different types (obelisk + apartment, apartment + factory, etc.). this way, you can create complex buildings by connecting simple geometry nodes with a simple interface.
once you have created your plant, you need to create a node and link it to all the geometry you want to use, using the nodes on the side panel. the node can be a simple geometry node (for example, an hexagon) or a building node (for example, an apartment). you can also link two nodes of the same type (hexagons or apartments) to get complex buildings.
the new infographic interface, designed for both technical and artist expertise, is now available to plantfactory users as part of the plantfactory ccp. the user interface can be replaced with the graphic editor, which may be used to create custom user interfaces for a variety of uses. the graphical editor is included in vue21.2. the graphical interface is a set of interactive graphs of nodes and their connections, powered by third-party visualization software.
